Brunnby hotel

“Hi O.K. i went to this hotel i booked from you information center and they told me, that this room i reserved wouldn't exist, they hadn't got showers and restrooms on the floor and i should have paied much more!!!! THIS IS A NO GO!!!!!!!!!!!! I was very disappointed!!!!!!!!!!! So luckily a talked to one of your employees in the information center and she told me, that there are always free campings for tents.... Another point, which disappointed me of your computerservice!!!!! It should be possible for campers with tents to book a place or to even see, that there are camping areas on which you can put your tent..... So I had to pay for the metro to go to this hotel, and then there was no room for me and I had to pay for the next trip back to T-Centralen and to my Camping aswell.... I was really Pissed!!! And the women at the Hotelentrance told me, that you should have known about this mistake!!! They told you the day bevore!!!!! I hope you will change something!!!! I will definitely NOT recomend you!!!!”

“Really NOT "family enviroment". Worse location ever. Non-friendly staff. They made me pay with cash when I did not want to. Don´t go there!”

“Vi blev först chockade över själva stället som hotellet låg på (hela området - inte fräckast...) vi hittade t.o.m. inte ens dit...! Trots förklaring via internet. (Den var inte helt bra. Kan göras bättre. Fel hållplats att stiga av på.) Och första intrycket av receptionen var även den lite chockad - men sen blev det bara bättre och bättre! Det var en kanonövernattning, och riktigt mysigt hotell! Och de som vi träffade i receptionen var urtrevliga och mysiga! Mest mannen som tog emot oss - med hästsvansen! Han var en goding! Tog sig tid att förklara och visa, pratade med oss, talade om hur och var vi kunde ta oss - då blev det lätt som en plätt! Väldigt nöjda är vi!”

“It's a simple hotel in an industial area, rooms small and simple equipped, but clean, service and breakfast ok, connection to the city acceptable, ok for students and people who are not looking for comfort.”

“The unappealing exterior gives way to a clean, compact interior (all rooms are located off a single corridor, giving it the feel of a hostel) and friendly helpful staff. The hotel's facilities are as to be expected for the price (the existence of a sauna is a welcome bonus), and travel to the centre of town by public transport is fairly quick and easy, however the setting is a let down. Surrounded by a wholesale market and numerous distribution centres, the area is a hive of HGV activity, with little in the way of restaurants, shops or bars within walking distance. A cost effective dormitory, but not a place to spend time during the day.”

This is completely misleading! The hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate and although you can practically see the hotel from Arsta Fältet tram stop it is quite a walk to get there, because you have to cross several busy multi-lane highways, and at night the deserted area is quite disconcerting. Brunnby Hotel is unsuitable for people travelling alone or on public transport. Having said this, the hotel itself is basic but comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. The information provided on the booking confirmation about how to get to the hotel was also difficult to follow and inaccurate. ”
